Primary Curriculum Documents

IMG_1312Today, children are being introduced to technology at a very young age using smartphones, tablets and computers to talk to friends, use social media, access the internet, take, send and receive photos and download apps to aid their day to day life. Although many children can use their technologies, do they know how they work?

A new national curriculum for computing has been developed to teach children computing. Technology is a big part of most children’s lives and therefore it is important we provide them with the set of computational skills which they will need for the rest of the lives.

Computing At Schools launched a guide for primary school teachers to help them get to grips with the exciting future of computing ahead and to help them understand the new requirements and build on their current practice.
